The prints have won in a competition by the Befree brand, which aimed to reflect the uniqueness of Russian cities and regions. The design incorporates famous symbols of Udmurtia - the flower italmash, the elk, the eight-pointed star, and the words "Izhkar put' v dalekiy kray".
"My heart belongs to Izhevsk, but I prefer to call it Izhkar. I was born here, I create here. In my work, I wanted to convey the originality of my region. To make the design current, daring, yet recognizable. To add accents of traditional elements and allow people to see how the contemporary cultural code of my city can be interpreted with an emphasis on ethnicity," wrote the design author under the pseudonym SkersJ.
T-shirts with this print will be sold in flagship stores nationwide.
