Kent began his career as a DJ in Brooklyn in the 1980s. In 1995, he achieved his first major success with the track "Junior MAFIA" from the debut album of the project "Conspiracy," and the following year, he produced for Jay-Z. In 2001, the musician made a significant mark with the song "Loverboy" from the musical film "Glitter," which was Mariah Carey's first role in a feature film.

In addition to his extensive work with Queen Latifah, Kanye West, Redman, and 50 Cent, among others, Kent was also a passionate sneaker lover and amassed a collection of approximately 3500 pairs of shoes. This led to collaborations with several leading sneaker manufacturers.
